Obiettivi formativi
Gli studenti che seguiranno il corso rileggeranno la teoria dei media attraverso la mediazione della filosofia, approfondendo criticamente il significato del medium. Sul piano applicativo questo implica un comprensione più profonda degli strumenti cui vengono esposti, e un accrescersi delle capacità di giudizio, attraverso il confronto fra letture filosofiche della medialità. Attraverso discussioni a tema, potranno comprendere meglio il contorno dei testi che dovranno leggere, affrontare lo spinoso tema del genere nella rappresentazione mediatica, e rileggere di prima mano testi filosofici di discreta complessità.Conoscenza e comprensione
Al termine del corso lo studente:
‐ avrà compreso la funzione dei mezzi di comunicazione di massa all’interno della dimensione della fruizione
tecnologica delle opere d’arte;
‐ saprà analizzare il rapporto fra contenuti e modi della narrazione, nelle forme specifiche di uso della radio e della
fotografia, fino ad arrivare all’interno della riflessione filosofica connessa alle varie scale di definizione del media,
nonché avrà la capacità di analizzare casi concreti, con una sezione dedicata alla dimensione fruitiva di forme
specifiche, come danza e canzone.Da definire.

Students who will follow the course will reread media theory through the mediation of philosophy, critically examining the meaning of the medium. On the applicative level this implies a deeper understanding of the instruments to which they are exposed, and an increase in judgement, through the comparison between philosophical readings of the medium. Through thematic discussions, they will be able to better understand the outline of the texts they will have to read, address the thorny issue of gender in media representation, and reread first-hand philosophical texts of discreet complexity.
Knowledge and understanding
At the end of the course the student:
- will have understood the function of the mass media within the dimension of fruition

- will be able to analyze the relationship between content and modes of narration, in the specific forms of use of the radio and the
photography, up to the philosophical reflection connected to the various scales of definition of the media,
and will also have the ability to analyze concrete cases, with a section dedicated to the fruitive dimension of forms

Al termine del corso lo studente:
‐ sarà in grado di comprendere le forme di interazione fra medium ed oggetto estetico, in particolare per quanto
attiene la dimensione narrativa della musica e della fotografia.
Durante l’esame verranno proposte alcune esemplificazioni relative al rapporto media e forma del racconto, che il
candidato dovrà spiegare nel passaggio da un medium ad un altro.
Autonomia di giudizio Al termine del corso lo studente:
‐ avrà acquisito la capacità di saper leggere la traccia che il passaggio da un medium ad un altro impone alla
rielaborazione di un prodotto artistico, e saperne individuare le forme caratteristiche.

Lezioni in forma frontale, con discussione dei testi in aula, ricorrendo a strumentazione mediologica e a didattica tradizionale, in forma mista.
La lezione consisterà principalmente nella lettura di testi relativi all'estetica dei media, con un confronto continuo fra autore e modello storico - mediale di riferimento. L'argomento del Corso impone naturalmente discussioni circoscritte, e continua messa a punto di tipo dialogico delle conoscenze acquisite dagli studenti.Da definire.
